Following his academic success, Sergio took the stage as a guitarist and musical director, touring Mexico and the world with many renowned artists. His skills extended beyond performance, making a significant mark as a producer, engineer, and musician on numerous award-winning albums with multi-platinum and gold records.
Sergio's affinity for visual storytelling emerged organically as he scored and postproduced for TV shows, films, and commercials, eventually transitioning into producing and directing. As an executive producer, he has played a pivotal role in feature films that garnered acclaim at prestigious festivals such as Cannes, Locarno, Morelia, and received nominations for the Ariel Awards.
In the last decade, Sergio assumed the role of Director of Multimedia at Mexico's largest publishing company, Editorial Notmusa. Under his leadership, the company's social media presence flourished, boasting more than 70 million followers and amassing over a billion views. His role encompassed overseeing all video production aspects, showcasing his talent for creating engaging and shareable content.
In recent years, Sergio has shifted his focus towards photography. Commissioned to explore and document the Yucatan Peninsula and the numerous Mayan ruins. Work that is consistently published in magazines, scientific papers, TV shows, and tourist guides. Notably, Sergio's captivating photographs, exhibited in galleries and museums worldwide, showcase his keen eye for capturing the essence of nature and ancient wonders.
